Today we added the Wordpress TweetMeme channel. We decided that since there’s always so much news for those who design and develop blog sites using Wordpress that it’s users would probably appreciate a channel where they can subscribe to all the hottest news on Wordpress. The channel contains announcements, new plugins, themes and design competition related links. So if you are a developer or designer and work with Wordpress then this one is just for you!
We hope you like it and if you have any suggestions for a new channel then do just leave a comment and you never know we may just put a channel up there just for you!
We are now tracking the top stories coming from the Internet World Expo in London. You can see what people are talking about at the Expo and find out the latest news and stories from the event. You can even re-tweet your favourite stories.
Please do suggest any channels that you would like for any up and coming events!
Thanks to Rob Loach over at Drupal you can now add the Re-Tweet Button into your Drupal CMS via this module. Please do take a look if you are running Drupal and want to integrate the button.
Any feedback on this plugin should be given on the Drupal Module site.
Recently we have had a great uptake with our official TweetMeme Button being used on some widely read websites. As a result we’ve seen our traffic and number of re-tweets increase. So we thought that we would share with you who the top re-tweeters are on our site this month.

The list consists of:
A big thank you to our top re-tweeters and those using our re-tweet button. If you have a high volume blog site on Wordpress and are using our plugin then do let us know. We like to say thank you to our top re-tweeters!
With the recent outbreaks of Swine Flu we’ve launched a channel so that you can track where the latest outbreaks are and news sorrounding it. Also with the recent research being done to erradicate Malaria and the recent Milaria No More campaign we have launched a channel to follow the progress here too.
Swine Flu
Malaria No More
Do remember to suggest any channels that you think we should have that we don’t yet have!
We’ve just launched a new channels one for this weekend’s London Marathon. Keep an eye out for other channels as we are adding channels regularly. If you think of a channel and we don’t have it then do let us know and we’ll look into it!
Please note that the channels may take a little time to populate so do check back for them for new info.
With the Formula 1 racing back on this weekend this time in Gulf Air Bahrin (Sakhir) we thought it would be a good time to launch a Formula 1 channel. As you can probably imagine the channel is full or all sorts of news and announcements about drivers, races and the politics sorrounding the sport.
As a fan of motor racing I couldn’t miss the opportunity to aggregate the content into one place to see all the action, the close up shots and the mayhem that goes along with every race. I’m looking forward to maybe seeing live twitpics coming up too! Citizen journalism at it’s best!
In order to celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday we’ve got a Shakespeare channel. There are lots of fun things such as talk like Shakespeare on there. Join in the conversation by linking to your favourite Shakespeare quotes, books etc and you may end up on the channel!

As many of you have probably already heard we’ve added a Live stream for tweetmeme. We listened to everyone’s feedback and one thing that we got asked for so many times was live updates of our feeds. We’ve just implemented the full feed for now but we are looking into doing the same for the main subject areas as well.
We decided to implement 2 retweets, 5, 10 and 20 with the default set to 5 as it was just too fast for most people on the 2 retweets, but we understand that some people may want to use the rss feed of 2 so didn’t exclude it completely.
You will also find that we have a play and pause button on the site which is there to pause the updates when you want to look at a series of tweets in more detail. It does mean that you don’t have to get dizzy from watching all the tweets as they go by!!! We saw a few comments on Twitter where people said it was making them dizzy, we hope they found the pause button!

Today we launched a new channel just for following the top stories around the UK Budget announcements. Why did we do that? Well as a company we see the budget and understanding it’s implications as pretty important. As such we felt that it was also going to be important to those people in the UK to be able to find all that information in one place. We do hope it will be useful to you all.
Look out for other top channels and trivia from the budget by following @talktweetmeme.com
